Nelson Eddy died on this date in 1967. Probably not too many people remember him today. But in the 1930’s he was a cinema heart-throb. The ladies loved his looks and swooned when he sang light opera. It’s not exactly what gets a guy noticed today. My dad used to tell me that my grandma, a seemingly sane woman in her 40’s back in the late 30’s was mad for Eddy. Me… I just don’t see the attraction.
