Clare Booth Luce

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

Born on this date in 1903. Clare Booth Luce is known as a author and for politics. She is best remembered for sharp-witted quotes that have become part of the American lexicon. These are 3 of my favorites.

“Politicians talk themselves red, white, and blue in the face.

“No good deed goes unpunished.”

“I don’t have a warm personal enemy left. They’ve all died off. I miss them terribly because they helped define me.”
